Urgent Care
When your primary care doctor is unavailable, go to an Urgent Care or Walk-In facility for non-life threatening illnesses or injuries. If you are experiencing a life- or
limb-threatening medical condition, call 911 and go to the nearest Emergency Room.
YNHHS and Physician One Urgent Care Centers and Walk-Ins are located in: Brookfield, Derby, Fairfield, Glastonbury, Groton, Hamden, Mystic, New Haven, New London, Newtown, Norwalk, Norwich, Orange, Ridgefield, Shelton, Southbury, Stonington, Waterbury, Waterford, West Haven, Mohegan Lake, NY and Somers, NY. The copay for an Urgent Care or Walk-In visit is $30 in the YNHHS Advantage Plus Plan and $40 in the YNHHS Advantage Plan while an Emergency Room visit costs $150. (Copays are waived if patient is admitted.)
Telehealth (MDLIVE)
MDLIVE is a telehealth service, providing you with on-demand access to physicians who are board-certified in areas such as internal medicine and family practice. With MDLIVE, you can connect with a doctor from your home, office, or on the go, 24/7/365. You can visit with board-certified doctors either by phone or secure video link to help treat any non-emergency medical conditions. MDLIVE doctors can diagnose your symptoms, prescribe medication, and send prescriptions to your pharmacy of choice.
How to Activate Your Account
MDLIVE is a covered service for you and your family members covered through your YNHHS medical benefits. Choose one of the following methods to easily activate your account:

- Download the free Mobile App, available on the iTunes store and Google Play.
You’ll be asked for basic information such as address, phone number and medical history (allergies, medications, current and past medical history, social history and family health history). The process typically takes five minutes or less, depending on how extensive your medical history may be.
What Does MDLIVE Cost?
MDLIVE is already included in your medical benefits package. Advantage Plus Plan members pay $15 for each encounter. Advantage Plan members pay $20. You will need a credit or debit card to pay for these fees. Your card, however, will only be charged after you choose to consult with a doctor and your appointment time and payment information are confirmed. You can cancel your appointment and receive a full refund. MDLIVE accepts most major credit and debit cards, including your Crosby Flexible Spending Account debit card, if enrolled.
